Foil Card Offers Visual Appeal and Increased Security

New Orleans, LA - April 22, 2002 - (CardTech/SecurTech: QualTeq Booth 1063) - QualTeq Inc., a leading Visa/MasterCard card manufacturer-announced announced today that Schlumberger will license one of QualTeq's patented technologies-its proprietary Foil Card®. Schlumberger recognizes QualTeq's Foil Card patent and patent pending, and will manufacture and sell the Foil Card through a non-exclusive agreement, which will continue for the life of the patent.

Foil Card is the QualTeq patented card technology of graphically printing over a mirror foil surface of a card. Unlike previous foil card processes, the QualTeq Foil Card can accept litho and silkscreen inks, foil stamping, lamination, and other applications such as holograms. Available in a variety of foil colors including gold, silver, and rainbow foils, the material can be adapted to existing designs or new design concepts.
